Note that you can replace brandy with vodka, and honey with sugar. However, as a good Víkingr, you should really use honey.

INGREDIENTS:

750ml of red wine • 150ml of brandy • 5 cloves • 2 crushed cardamons • 2 cinnamon sticks • 100ml of honey • peeled almonds • raisins

PREPARATION:

Mix wine with brandy. Heat the mixture without boiling it. Cut the peel from half an orange (leaving the white part out) and add to mixture along with honey, cloves, cardamons, and cinnamon sticks. Stir and keep heating for a few more minutes without boiling.

Serve hot with raisins and almonds.

Note: Make sure you do not boil the mixture as this would destroy the benefits and natural properties of honey.
